We provide a wide range of professional services to meet your needs. We promise to provide every service with a smile, and to your highest level of satisfaction.

About Our Mental Health Programs

We help families and individuals cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life. Our therapists are trained and experienced in everything from children who have trauma to those who have been abused. We specialize in working with children who have been adopted and have attachment issues. Therapists work with anger issues, domestic violence, and sexual abuse problems.

Counseling for All

We have skilled therapists who work with children. We can help families re-establish themselves after a parent has been removed from the home by court order by offering reunification therapy.

When you just can’t seem to cope, the YWCA of Contra Costa/Sacramento offers help. Our trained, experienced mental health therapists and specialized programs can help you, your spouse or partner and your children figure out what needs to be fixed and how to fix it so life is more satisfying and productive.

We help adults, teens and children work through depression, anxiety, abuse and other mental health issues. Families come to us to figure out how to live together happily and safely. We help children and their families, separately and together work through issues to create their own stability in a changing world.

Our mental health therapists use a variety of techniques in all therapy settings which include Theraplay®, an attachment method to connect families in play, where they learn to trust, enjoy and appreciate themselves and each other. Our basic approach to therapy is cognitive behavior therapy but our therapists also use humanistic and psychodynamic therapy techniques. Pet assisted therapy is offered to children, teens, and families to help work through issues of trauma and attachment.
